Purebred dog of the week: Icelandic Sheepdog

Icelandic shepherd dog is one of the newest AKC dog breeds that make it is Westminster Dog Show debut later this month. The Spitz type breed small environment is difficult and alert, but always very friendly and playful. Originally from the Iceland, breed herd was built to withstand the hardest, coldest temperature. Historically, the Icelandic shepherd dog was uses to protect and livestock herd, but race is also an entirely appropriate companion and adorable family dog.

The small size of the shepherd dog Icelandic indeed a good fit for all kinds of houses, but race still needs plenty of exercise and activity.
